geocreate is a dynamic team headed by Gill Harper. She has a BA in Geography and a Masters (distinction) in Geographic Information Science from University College London Department of Geomatic Engineering. Interest in using administrative data to model local conditions was initiated by working as a GIS Analyst in a London local authority and further developed through her Masters thesis and subsequent specialisation over ten years in linking local administrative data sets to count and profile local populations. Gill carried out research on this topic as an UPTAP Research Fellow at Cass Business School and has published two peer reviewed papers on the methodology and applications. Gill has also worked as a lecturer and tutor on the MSc GIS online course for ‘Neighbourhood Analysis’ at the Department of Geography, Birkbeck College, and as a researcher providing all aspects of geographical support for the 7-year £20million National Evaluation of Sure Start (NESS) project. To date, Gill is a key contributor to the nkm (Neighbourhood Knowldge Management) operations.
